Origins of my favorite music
Reggaeton
Reggaeton is a genre of reggae music with influences from hip hop, which first developedin Latin America in the mid 1980's and early 1990, born and stems from the Jamaican community whose ancestors arrived in Panama along West Indian immigrants in the twentieth century.
Reggaeton originated from its predecessor in Spanish reggae. After this event continued to be maintained reggaeton as reggae from Jamaica with the same instrumental and vocal melody the same but with different lyrics. While in Puerto Rico were used rap tracks but withdifferent lyrics and compositions.
Origins
Reggaeton roots date back to the emergence of Spanish reggae in Panama in the mid-1980s, then was evolved and modernized in Puerto Rico in 1990 where he received his present name. Reggaeton starts as an adaptation of Jamaican reggae (and the laterJamaican dancehall) to the Latin culture in Panama.
Reggaeton's origins began with the first Latin American reggae recordings made in Panama during the 1980's. Jamaican reggae influence on Panamanian music has been very strong since the early twentieth century, when Jamaica imported workers to build theCanal Panamá1 Artists such as El General, Chicho Man, Nando Boom, Renato and Apache Ness began singing reggae Spanish language for the first time. It was common practice to translate the lyrics of Jamaican reggae into Spanish and sing them in theiroriginal tunes, this form was called Spanish reggae. Meanwhile, during the 80's rapper ofPuerto Rico, Vico C, albums released in Spanish Hip Hop and reggae rap in his native island. His production helped to spread the sound of reggaeton, so much credit given to this rapper. The extent of movement of Spanish reggae in Latin American communities inU.S. urban centers helped increase its popularity.
Reggae
Reggae is a music genre that was first developed in Jamaica in the late 1960's. Although sometimes the term is used broadly to refer to different styles of Jamaican music, reggae is understood by strictly speaking a specific musical genre that originated as a development of earlier ones such as ska and rocksteady.
Reggae is characterized by a kind of rhythmic accentuation of off-beat, known as the skank.Normally, the time of reggae is slower than the ska and reggae rocksteady.1 tends to accentuate the second and fourth beat of every bar, serving to put the guitar or emphasis onthe third beat or to keep the line from the second through fourth. It is usually this "third beat" both the speed and the use of complex bass lines, what distinguishes reggae rocksteady.
