Exponents of reggae


  Bob Marley (Jamaica)
  Senior manager of the genus and considered the "Father of Reggae". Composer, singer and virtuoso            guitarist, began his musical career in the mid-60's' in his native Jamaica, androse to fame in the 70's     when he recorded "Soul Rebels" with his band The Wailers. In 1981, died of a brain tumor and will be  remembered forever as the great legend ofreggae.

    Peter Tosh (Jamaica)

  He began his career with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer in the mid 60's, also a member of the famous      Wailing Wailers band. Tosh was most famous for practice Rastafari doctrine.He was assassinated in   1987 during a burglary.

  Jimmy Cliff (Jamaica)

  Reggae singer and composer, began his career in the 70's, and was famous for composing film soundtracks, including highlights of the film Hakuna Matata "Lion King".

  Steel Pulse (England)

One of the reggae bands (not Jamaica) most famous, was founded in 1975 and opened the way to further reggae English bands.

Bunny Wailer (Jamaica)

Singer, percussionist and composer, member of legendary band The Wailers, started his solo career in 1976 and was farmer Roots reggae style.
